Who is the supervisor?

The names below come from the operator. Each links to a page of what public sources say, with the sources.

  • Rabbi Nesanel Sommer

No public source linked yet. That says nothing about him either way. Ask the operator the questions below.

Worth asking the operator

  • Who signs the kashrut certificate for this program, and can I see this year’s certificate?
  • How many years has he supervised this operator’s Pesach programs, and this hotel in particular?
  • Does an agency or beth din stand behind the certificate, or is it his personal hechsher?
  • Is he in the hotel for the whole of Yom Tov, and how many mashgichim work under him?

Ask before you book

The operator’s website doesn’t state these. If any matter to you, get the answer in writing:

  • Glatt
  • Pas Yisroel
  • Separate swimming
  • Kitniyot policy

Standards can change from year to year. Confirm with the operator and your own rav.

Videos and social accounts

The operator’s own channels, found on its own website. They are marketing, so weigh them alongside the facts above.

Getting there

This program is in the New York (JFK) area, so there’s no flight to plan.

New York JFK has nonstops from Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago O'Hare, Toronto, London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Tel Aviv. Westchester (HPN) lists Chicago O'Hare.

Nearly everyone drives from the New York area; guests flying in land at a New York airport and drive or take the train about an hour.

Routes come from each airport’s published route list, checked October 2026. Flight times are estimates from the distance. Airlines change schedules, so confirm before you book (route list we used).

From the airport

  • Westchester County Airport (White Plains) (HPN): about 25 minutes by carA small, quick airport with a limited list of routes.
  • John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK): about 55 minutes by carThe main international airport; traffic can add a lot of time.

Driving instead

  • From Teaneck NJ: about 0.9 hours
  • From Monsey NY: about 0.9 hours
  • From New York City: about 1 hour
  • From Lakewood NJ: about 2.25 hours

  • From Boston: about 3 hours
  • From Baltimore: about 4.25 hours

Late April weather

Mild spring weather with days around 62°F (17°C) and nights near 43°F (6°C).

Good to know

  • A car is useful, though the train to New York City runs often from downtown Stamford.
  • Stamford has an established Jewish community with several synagogues.
  • Eastern time zone.

Safety and travel advisories

What governments say about travel to this country. Nothing here is this site’s own judgment.

Safety information for the United States

The US State Department does not publish an advisory for its own country. Other governments do publish advice for visitors, and local police departments publish crime figures for their own cities.

This is the governments’ own wording, not a rating by this site. Israel’s National Security Council also publishes travel warnings for Israelis abroad. Ask the operator what security the program itself arranges, such as guards and entry checks.
