Programs here

Getting there

There is a nonstop flight from New York (JFK), about 5.5 hours in the air.

Los Angeles (LAX) has nonstops from New York JFK, Newark, Miami, Chicago O'Hare, Toronto, London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Tel Aviv. Santa Barbara (SBA) lists Chicago O'Hare.

Most guests drive up from the Los Angeles area; those flying land at Los Angeles and drive about an hour and three quarters.

Routes come from each airport’s published route list, checked October 2026. Flight times are estimates from the distance. Airlines change schedules, so confirm before you book (route list we used).

Late April weather

Sunny and mild, with days around 75°F (24°C) and cool nights near 48°F (9°C).

Good to know

  • You need a car; the camp is in the hills outside a small town.
  • Pacific time zone, three hours behind New York.
  • Days are warm but nights get cold, so bring layers.

Safety and travel advisories

What governments say about travel to this country. Nothing here is this site’s own judgment.

Safety information for the United States

The US State Department does not publish an advisory for its own country. Other governments do publish advice for visitors, and local police departments publish crime figures for their own cities.

This is the governments’ own wording, not a rating by this site. Israel’s National Security Council also publishes travel warnings for Israelis abroad. Ask the operator what security the program itself arranges, such as guards and entry checks.
